Go to http://studyjams.scholastic.com/studyjams/jams/science/weather-and-climate/air-pressure-and-wind.htm
Once there, please watch the video and use the word cards plus cards you make to answer the question," How can air currents be explained?" I will try to link this to the first page of your class. If you are careful you should be able to copy or type it in. I am not able to link it here. Other short videos to help you review for the Quarterly exam on the 19th next week are: Earth's Atmosphere; Weather and Climate; Air Masses and Fronts; to name a few. We need a few gallon water jugs or empty 2 Liter bottles if you have any at home that you would like to share.
Tuesday: You will have a Heat Transfer article to read and summarize Q to A in class. For HW you will have a foldable to complete and turn-in on Wednesday. If you did not finish your article, you will also have to do that. You will need the article or the internet to complete the foldable notes on Heat Transfer.
Wednesday: I hope to be able to continue SC.6.E.7.3 and provide you with some notes to study for your quarterly exam next Tuesday. Another good website to visit is: http://climatekids.nasa.gov (search for greenhouse effect). Study or finish CW.
Thursday: This is Hispanic heritage celebration day for sixth graders during 6th period, and a prevention lessons for the County Day. First period will have an activity to complete while other classes will have it after county lessons and for HW complete climate averages.
Friday: All classes will resume SC.6.E.7.3 and review for Quarterly exam. No school for Students on Monday. Study your notes and any handouts for the Quarterly Test.
