The 2017 Textbook is located under the Classlink for students on the county website. Students may download a version for their multiple devices from there. See you particular class page on the toolbar above for more information on how to locate Comp Sci 1 for Polk County students.

All Classes will be working this week on The interactions of Earth's spheres following a Pretest on Monday/Tuesday. Some students have already finished the Pretest. The Wanted Scientist Posters were due on Friday which was extended due to Hurricane Irma. Projects may be turned-in late with only -2 points for each day. You may send to me electronically, print it, or make one by hand. Extra rubrics for scoring are available for download from your class page. These grades you will see later this week.
All Classes will have a Close Reading this week : How Knowledge is Created. Students will have their own copy and the steps will be modeled in class. All students should be completed with all aspects of the reading and will need to finish the questions and article summary by Friday at home if necessary.
All Students will have completed one of the available Quizzes from Unit 1 by Tuesday which will be posted on grades this week.
All Classes will be working on a Spheres experiment this week.
Students are encouraged to use their devices in class when appropriate like to capture images needed to continue study at home.
Extra Credit/Reinforcement of Concepts: Nearpod. When appropriate, I list them in class and online. There is one right now which require a new code on Tuesday so make sure yours doesn't expire.
