Monday: All classes will reflect on their Natural Disasters Project and prepare to send them to Language Arts for their evaluation. All classes will finish the weathering and landforms Quiz from Friday. Also On Monday, if time permits, we will begin the 2nd Quarter review. Monday HW: Last chance to complete Disaster projects for Language Arts. Study for Science 2nd semester test. Tuesday: If review is needed, we will review. Otherwise the 2nd Quarter Test will begin and conclude on Wednesday. HW: Study. Wednesday: Tests for certain in class. Last chance to turn-in make-up work for this grading period. Check with Mrs. Sitta as the work must be for this term and within acceptable time period for evaluation. Thursday: we will look at assembling folders and Logbooks for 2nd semester. Clean-out folders and prepare to replace as needed. Make-up tests, too, as needed. Mrs. Sitta will share "Silver Packages," short story by Cynthia Rylant if time permits. Enjoy your winter break. This week we are learning about weathering, erosion, and deposition. In class on Wednesday, when your group finishes the lab on sinkholes, please email me your group's definition of karst topography. Include an image to go with it. Email: [email protected]. Thursday, you will have more information on landforms. You will need to define the terms, illustrate the terms, and tell if the formation was created by erosion or deposition. As an example, a shoal is a sandbar that was formed by deposition while a sinkhole is created by erosion of limestone from carbonic acid. Friday you will continue.
