This week we are moving into Disastrous Storms and officially working with Language Arts on the Storm Chaser multidisciplinary unit. As a culminating project, you will be creating a Hurricane Preparedness guide. A due date has not yet been set. In Language Arts you should be learning how to document sources that you will need to include like the American Red Cross. Monday: some students will be taking a quiz from Friday last week. Homework will be to complete the Foldout for you Interactive notebook from Friday on Convection Currents. I will have resources in class to help you with the inner Earth Convection Currents. I have posted on your class page the codes for Nearpod to do this week at home. You will need up to 30 minutes and either go to www.nearpod.com or download the nearpod app. Then Join a class using the codes I have provided. Heat transfer: PEFOX; High and Low Pressure: TQMBD; and Local Winds: YEKGR. Only you know if you know everything about these topics. Download your Mid-Year Review from your class page or tell me so that I can get one for you. You will have Climates to organize in class that may need to be finished at home this week. Also another quiz should be completed on Friday. Storms and Predicting Weather will be added to your choices. Tuesday: Complete a Nearpod or finish classwork as needed like the weather instruments foldable. Wednesday: Finish the Climate review or/and the Storms review to help you prepare for a quiz tomorrow. Thursday: No new homework. You should begin to plan out your project in your mind. Also you might have unfinished work to complete.
